Adult Education Program / Kchi’aak Kinomaagziwin
The Wikwemikong Board of Education believes that learning is lifelong, that continued learning is integral to the development of an individual’s identity and self-esteem. This important learning, combined with offering programming locally within our unique culture and location, affords us a great opportunity for growing and learning together.
Our adult education program has evolved into a dynamic program where adults (over the age of 21) can develop their abilities, enrich their knowledge, improve their technical or professional qualifications or turn them in a new direction and bring about changes in their attitudes or behavior.
A variety of Independent Learning Courses (ILCs), Basic Skills Upgrading and other programs are being offered to Adult students to help them fulfill their full potential and realize their dreams of obtaining a Grade 12 diploma. We, at Wikwemikong Board of Education, believe that it is never too late to earn your diploma.
To this end, our objective is: “To promote the spirit of learning in such a way as to guide students towards the completion and achievement of high school credits.”
